Dr. Jeffrey Brown is an Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and a Clinical Associate at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts. As a licensed psychologist, he works with adults, adolescents and families in his private practice in Arlington, Massachusetts.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in both Clinical and Cognitive & Behavioral Psychology and is on the Registry of Psychologists for the United States Olympic Committee. Dr. Brown’s cognitive-behavioral practice includes working with individuals and families who are affected by anxiety and depressive disorders, as well as other performance and relationship challenges in sport, business, and life.
Dr. Brown consults both locally and nationally and has been the sport psychologist for the Boston Marathon Medical Team since 2002. He is a Certified Consultant with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and has served on the organization’s Ethics Committee for the last several years. He is also the past Chair of the Child and Family Committee for the Massachusetts Psychological Association. Dr. Brown has been cited as an expert in such media outlets as The New York Times, ESPN, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, FOX News, NESN, NECN and ABC.com
